Shri D J Pandian is an MBA from Madras University. He is a senior IAS Officer having administrative and corporate experience spanning 25 years. Shri Pandian was the Managing Director of Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation (GSPC) from 2001 to 2009. Earlier Shri Pandian was working on deputation with the World Bank in Washington, D.C. He was Director, External Commercial Borrowing, Ministry of Finance, Government of India during 1995-97. Presently he is the Principal Secretary, Energy & Petrochemicals Department.

Shri Urjit Patel
Independent Director

Shri Urjit Patel is an M. Phil. in Economics from Oxford University. He also holds a doctorate degree in Economics from Yale University. Dr Urjit Patel has experience of over 17 years. He was consultant to Reserve Bank of India providing advice on Debt Market, Banking Sector Reforms and Development of Foreign Exchange Market. He was also consultant to Ministry of Power, Department of Economic Affairs, New Delhi. He has also worked as Chief Policy Advisor and member of Management Committee with Infrastructure Development Finance Company Limited.

Shri Suresh Mathur
Independent Director

Shri Suresh Mathur is a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He has experience spanning 38 years in the oil industry. He has handled varied assignments in the fields of finance, marketing, operations, strategic planning, international oil trading and execution of projects. He was the Managing Director of Petronet LNG Limited from 1998 until 2005. He was also Director (Finance) of Indian Oil Corporation from 1994 until 1998.

Shri Tapan Ray
IAS, MD

Shri Tapan Ray holds a degree in Engineering from I.I.T. Delhi, a post-graduate degree in public policy from Princeton University USA, a Masters in Public Administration from Syracuse University, USA and a degree in law with various Diplomas. He is a senior IAS Officer having wide administrative and corporate experience. He was Principal Secretary (Economic Affairs), Finance Department, till November 2009. He was one of the Non-Executive Directors of GSPC during 2006 to 2009. Shri Ray is the Managing Director of GSPC and GSPL and looks after the entire GSPC Group.
